A non-profit, Invest DSM is committed to strengthening neighborhoods and creating opportunities for the people who live in them. They do this through investments in real estate and strategic partnerships to improve the residents’ quality of life.

Invest DSM Residential Programs
Invest DSM offers two programs to help homeowners and buyers renovate a house that is located in one of the seven Des Moines SIDs:
Single Family Developer Program
This program provides financing that enables professional developers to renovate neglected properties for sale to new owners.
Homeowner Renovation Program
This program provides homeowners with matching grants that cover maintenance and improvements, including large-scale renovation.
Where Invest DSM Works
Invest DSM provides funding to strengthen select Des Moines neighborhoods, called Special Investment Districts (SIDs). Today Des Moines is home to seven approved SIDs.
